Ludlam Hotel
The Ludlam Hotel, located at the corner of Landis and JFK, is within walking distance to the beach, promenade, restaurants and shops. This prime location is the best way to enjoy all of the nostalgic and charming aspects of Sea Isle City. Start off your ideal morning down the shore at Shorebreak Cafe, located onsite and filled with delightful treats and savory eats! Then, enjoy complimentary beach tags with the beach located just a few steps away. For lunch or dinner, you can unwind with food, drinks, and live music at our brand new Ludlam Bar and Grill!
This summer will be the grand re-opening of The Ludlam Hotel. Phase two of our renovations began on October 4, 2021, which included updates of our bathrooms and sliders! Our final phase of renovations will follow this fall 2022. Reservation are now open from June through September 15th, 2022! Ludlam Bar and Grill
Shorebreak Resorts is also excited to introduce our new Ludlam Bar and Grill, previously known as the Beach Bar at the Ludlam, opening this summer! Young adults of the 70s-2000s may have memories from when Ludlam Bar and Grill was known as “La Costa Lounge”. Our hope is to bring the guests of Sea Isle City the best shore experience possible by continuing the revitalization of the iconic corner of Landis & JFK!
Ludlam Bar and Grill will be the perfect place to unwind after a beautiful beach day in the sun. Our laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere will include live music daily and an updated dining menu from our newly renovated kitchen! Enjoy the company of friends and family while creating lasting memories with us this summer. Like the Ludlam Hotel, Ludlam Bar & Grill will also close fall 2022 to start the final phase of renovations!
History
Here at Shorebreak Resorts, we believe it is extremely important to honor the rich history of Sea Isle City. Sea Isle, previously known as Ludlam Island, was founded by Charles K. Landis in 1882. The main street in town, Landis Avenue, is named after the founder, as are we! Ludlam Island was known for its historical landmark, The Ludlam Beach Lighthouse. This lighthouse was a 45-foot tower that would flash every 15 seconds and could be seen as far as 11 miles away. Due to a fire in the 1920s, the lighthouse was dismantled, sold, and relocated to Landis Avenue. It was ultimately transformed into the top portion of a six-unit rental, and eventually was torn down in September 2010. Here at Shorebreak resorts, our goal is to bring the history of this landmark back into the heart of Sea Isle, which is our main inspiration behind the design of The Ludlam Hotel, Bar & Grill.
